What PTOD is

PTOD (Positive Thought of the Day) is a mobile app where you can:

• — Write one post per day of up to 365 characters
• — Read five posts per day from other users
• — Save posts that resonate with you

PTOD is a text-only app. There are no images, no video, no likes, no followers, no comments, and no direct messages.

Who can use PTOD

You must be 13 or older to use PTOD. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old.

You must provide a valid email address and your birth month and year during registration.

You may only hold one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent the one-post-per-day limit or any other rule is not permitted.

Your account

Your account is created with your email address only — no password. You sign in using a magic link sent to your email.

You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure. If you believe your PTOD account has been accessed by someone else, contact us at hello@ptod.app immediately.

We generate a random username for you at registration. You cannot choose your own username. Your username is visible to you but not associated with your posts when others see them — posts are displayed anonymously.

What you can post

Posts must:

• — Be written in English
• — Be no longer than 365 characters
• — Be constructive, meaningful, or uplifting in intent — even if they acknowledge difficulty or sadness
• — Use full words — common abbreviations for honourifics (Dr., Mr.), geographic names (UK, USA), academic titles (PhD), and time (AM, PM) are permitted

Posts must not contain:

• — Hate speech of any kind — including content targeting race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or any other characteristic
• — Foul language or profanity
• — Attacks on or insults directed at any individual or group
• — Content that promotes or facilitates self-harm, violence, or illegal activity
• — Spam, promotions, or commercial content of any kind
• — URLs or links

You may include an optional citation with your post — an author name and a source, each up to 100 characters. Citation fields must not contain URLs.

How posts are moderated

Every post is reviewed by an automated AI system before it is published. This checks that posts meet these guidelines.

If your post does not meet the guidelines, it will not be published. We will always tell you why and invite you to rewrite and resubmit. There is no formal appeal process.

We also operate a separate AI system that monitors for content indicating personal crisis or distress. If this system detects such content, your post will not be published and you will be shown crisis support resources.

Users can report posts they believe breach these guidelines. Reported posts are re-reviewed by the AI and, if necessary, by a human moderator.

How posts work

One post per day. Your posting ability resets at midnight in your device's local timezone.

Five posts per day to read. Your daily feed resets at midnight in your device's local timezone. Reading and posting are independent — you do not need to post to read, and you do not need to read to post.

Post lifetime. If no one saves your post within 30 days of it being published, it is permanently deleted. If anyone saves your post, it lives indefinitely. You will never be told which has happened.

Saving. You can save posts to your personal collection. Saved posts are private — no one else can see your saved collection. You can unsave a post at any time. If you unsave a post and it has no other saves, it re-enters the 30-day countdown from that point.

Anonymity. Posts are displayed without any attribution. Other users never see your username or any other identifying information associated with a post.

Intellectual property

You retain ownership of anything you write on PTOD. By posting, you grant L33 Solutions Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and distribute your post within the app for as long as the post exists.

If you post a quote, lyric, or other content written by someone else, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to do so. We encourage you to use the citation fields to attribute original authors.

Things we may do

We reserve the right to:

• — Remove any post that breaches these terms, with or without notice
• — Suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously breach these terms
• — Update these terms at any time — we will notify you within the app if we make significant changes

We will always act reasonably and in good faith.

Things we never do

• — We never show you how many people have saved your posts
• — We never tell you your post is about to expire
• — We never send push notifications
• — We never show advertising
• — We never sell your data
• — We never track you outside the app

Payment

PTOD costs 99p (or local equivalent) as a one-time purchase from the App Store or Google Play. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no premium tiers.

Payments are processed by Apple or Google according to their respective terms. Refunds are handled according to App Store and Google Play refund policies. We do not offer refunds directly once an account has been used to make a post.

Availability

We aim to keep PTOD available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to take the app offline for maintenance. We are not liable for any inconvenience caused by downtime.

Limitation of liability

PTOD is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, L33 Solutions Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
